Morning

The sunrises here are beautiful.

When I arrived in this remote area, I never dreamed I would see such beauty. The plants, wildlife, and climate are peaceful and remind me of home. I’m privileged to have found this wonderful jewel in the middle of nowhere.

Most of my people escaped home, too, but I do not know where they went or if they are safe. Every day I send a signal that reaches far into space. It is best to send it in the early morning to reach the Transfer Point. From there the Transfer Point sends it into all depths of the galaxy, searching for a matching response.

I’ll continue to do this, even if it takes hundreds of years.

Until I find them, at least I have the beautiful mornings to keep me company.
