I made the mistake of buying Bait Stations instead of traps. They poison the darn things, but don’t kill instantly. I think they are working, since they haven’t eaten them the past few days. Which means I might have to wait for the odor to confirm. This renders my Mouse Kill Count in the corner moot, because I won’t actually see how many I get. I guess the stink is better than the poop though. :)

We got two mice a few weeks ago. Then, last week, our basement began to stink to high heaven. After some looking and sniffing around, we isolated the stink to the central AC unit. Some critter had crawled inside the AC mechanism and died. I told out land lady about it, but she sort of shrugged because really, what are you going to do, tear apart the entire AC unit to find this thing?

Good thing we’re moving in a couple months. I pity the fool who turns on the AC come summer, though. :(
